BrazMedChem2010 activities

The BrazMedChem2010 will offer a variaty of scientific and cultural sessions.

Among the activities there are three short-courses, two opening conferences, a dozen of invited talks and oral presentations chosen from poster sessions.

You are invited to submit your scientific work as poster. The submission of the abstract as full work will follow the same rules as the ones taken from the 33rd Annual Meeting of the Brazilian Chemical Society (SBQ). The SBQ template is the standard choice. The copyright for its creation belongs to SBQ. Please, download the default template .


Poster Guidelines

Posters are expected to be 1.00 x 1.00 m (the width must be no more than 1.00 m; the length may be up to 1.20 m). The posters should be affixed using double-faced tape (no thumbtacks or pins). The posters should have: Title; Names of the authors (mark with an underline the presenting author); Institution(s); E-mail address of the presenting author; Objectives; Brief introduction; Experimental Section; Results and Discussion: schemes, graphs/figures, tables; Maximum of 3 references; Brief acknowledgments. Posters should be clearly readable from a distance of 1.50 m. Figures, schemes, graphs and text typically make up the bulk of a good poster. Presenters are encouraged to provide a handout summarizing their poster session for poster viewers to take away with them for future reference.

Poster sessions

There will be two sessions of panels’ discussion (Sessions I and II) in days 07 and 08 November (Sunday and Monday). In the two sessions, panels of all areas will be presented. The posters will be distributed as follows, according to the numbering of each area in the contents of the CD that accompanies the Symposium material:

First day. Sunday, November 7 (18h00-20h00)

Area 1: Neglected Diseases. Poster # to be announced.
Area 2: Strategies in Drug Design. Poster # to be announced.
Area 3: Medicinal Chemistry of Natural Products. Poster # to be announced.

Second day. Monday, November 8 (18h00-20h00)

Area 1: Neglected Diseases. Poster # to be announced.
Area 2: Strategies in Drug Design. Poster # to be announced.
Area 3: Medicinal Chemistry of Natural Products. Poster # to be announced.

ALL POSTERS MUST BE WRITTEN IN ENGLISH.

Each session will last for 2 h. Presenters will remain with their boards during the period allowed to answer the questions and facilitate discussions with other participants. The panels should be set in certain locations (information in the Secretary of the BrazMedChem2010).

Abstracts must be submitted in one of the following areas:

Area 1: Neglected Diseases.
Area 2: Strategies in Drug Design.
Area 3: Medicinal Chemistry of Natural Products.

Note: All submitted papers will be presented to BrazMedChem2010 in the form of panels. Five papers will be selected for oral presentation at the Open Science Session: Mix Session. Selected oral presentation of posters will be made from Symposium´s choice, but based on ad-hoc comments from the Scientific Committee. The authors will be invited by the Organizing Committee and their presentations will be disclosed in the final scientific program.
